Welcome to FOSFA TradeBytes
FOSFA International is delighted to introduce you to the first in a growing series of professional development learning online modules aimed at enhancing your knowledge of oilseeds, oils and fats international commodity trading and transportation.
These modules will help to equip you with the necessary knowledge to work more effectively within your organization and the wider trading community.
Course Module Format:
FOSFA TradeBytes modules can be completed by FOSFA members or non-members.
Each course is a byte-sized module that takes approximately an hour to complete and access to content is granted for 12 weeks (from date of registration) per module.
Course modules are available for participants to complete on any device, 24 hours a day, from anywhere in the world. Â
All content required to complete the course is included as part of the module.
The course content is designed using a variety of forms, including interactive elements.
The start of each course module explains the learning outcomes you can expect after successfully completing the module. Knowledge checks appear during each course to confirm your understanding of the content as you work through the module and concludes with a multiple-choice assessment, which is graded.
To successfully pass each module, you must score a minimum of 80% correct answers. You will have 3 chances to pass the end of module quiz. If you fail all 3, then you have failed the course overall. If you want to gain a certificate for this module, you will need to re-book and pay for the module again.
Participants who pass the assessment receive a FOSFA International TradeBytes electronic Certificate of Achievement.

- Introduction to FOSFA International
- FOSFA Contracts – An Introduction to FOSFA Contracts
- FOSFA Arbitration- An Introduction to Arbitration and Appeals in Commodity Trade Disputes
- FOSFA Technical –Â Introduction to the carriage of oils and fats.
Pricing:
Each short-course module must be paid for by credit card in advance. Participants will not be able to start a course module until payment has been processed.
There is special rate for members of FOSFA International.
Cancellation and Refunds
Once payment is received in full you will be given access to the learning platform and online course materials for a period of 12 weeks. You are no longer eligible for a refund after you have accessed the learning platform.
No refunds can be given once your credit card or bank transfer payment has been successfully processed and you have logged in to the learning platform.Â
Late fees and failures
If you fail an assessment, you will need to re-purchase the module and re-take the assessment to receive the electronic Achievement Certificate.
How to get started:
Launching a TradeBytes course module is easy:
- Click on the Book Now button belowÂ
- Complete the online registration form
- Once we have received your registration form and payment, you will be sent your log in details which will give you access to the module for a period of 12 weeks (including weekends). The start date of all access is deemed to be the date that your log in details are provided to you. During this time, you must complete the module and pass the assessment to receive your electronic Certificate.
- By registering, you agree not to share these details with any other person. Any learner suspected or proven to have shared their module access will have their access suspended and may be prevented from continuing with the module. No refunds will be issued in these circumstances.
